Many Aspire Few Attain
Why do many aspire few attain? It’s all in your thoughts. You can accomplish more than you think you can but only if you think you can.
What is the key to success? It’s in the power of your mind.
Earl Nightingale, the great success writer says the key to success is just six words.
“We become what we think about”.
The Bible contains numerous references to the power of our thoughts, “According to your faith be it unto you. As a man thinketh in his heart so is he” and “if you can believe all things are possible.”
Wayne Dyer summed up this philosophy in his book, “You’ll see it when you believe it”. The believing must come first. Only then can you produce the tangible results of what you believe.
Henry Ford summarized this in one sentence: “Whether you think you can or think you can’t you’re right.”
Let’s reflect for a moment: If you are now earning $30,000 a year and intently focus on earning $50,000 a year, you will find a way to eventually bring yourself to achieve this goal isn’t it? If you are set to sell advertising space worth $40,000 per issue then you will make every concerted effort to achieve this otherwise you will never make the mark. But it must first start with your belief that whatever you set to do, you will certainly achieve success. Faith is be sure of what your hope is and certain of what you cannot see.
According to Dr. Denise Waitley, a motivational expert, there is a power within each of us that propels us in the direction of our dominant thoughts. The key word here is “dominant.” You cannot expect successful results when you spend ten seconds a day thinking positively and the remaining 16 waking hours dwelling on negative outcomes.
You must take control of your mental activity and think positively throughout each and every day until it becomes a habit. After you conquer your mind and fill it with positive thoughts, the next thing you have to do is to act.
Faith without action is dead.
